Daisuke Ashihara

Daisuke Ashihara (born 1981 in Tokyo, raised in Okayama) is a Japanese manga artist. Ashihara debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2008 after 'ROOM303' earned a runner-up prize in the 75th Tezuka Award, and published a first series, 'Super Dog Rilienthal' (2009-2010), in the same magazine. The science-fiction series 'World Trigger', launched in 2013 and adapted into a TV anime in 2014, moved to the monthly Jump SQ in 2019 after a long health-related hiatus.
