Haruto Umezawa

Haruto Umezawa (born March 27, 1966, in Saitama Prefecture) is a Japanese manga artist who worked as an assistant to Tsukasa Hojo at age 22. He debuted in 1988 after his one-shot Nanpo Yuden won a Hop Step Award and was published in a Weekly Shonen Jump special issue; his best-known work is Hareluya II Boy, serialized in the magazine from 1992 to 1999 and adapted into an anime in 1997. His other Jump serials include Bremen (2000), Sword Breaker (2002) and LIVE (2004), followed by Countach in Weekly Young Jump (2004-2012).
