Hideo Shinkai

Hideo Shinkai (born 1982) is a Japanese manga artist from Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture. After university he worked as an assistant to Hirohiko Araki for about five years, and debuted in 2004 with 'Ensemble' in Akamaru Jump. In Weekly Shonen Jump he serialized the soccer manga Light Wing (2010), the music-themed Soul Catcher(s) (2013-2014), and Earthchild (2022).
