Masanori Morita
Born in 1966 in Ritto, Shiga Prefecture, Morita won an honorable mention at the Tezuka Award with 'IT'S LATE,' drawn while he was in high school, and debuted when it was published in Fresh Jump; he then moved to Tokyo and worked as an assistant to Tetsuo Hara. In Weekly Shonen Jump he created the long-running hit 'Rokudenashi Blues' (1988) and the baseball manga 'Rookies' (1998), which was adapted into a TV drama; his series 'Beshari Gurashi,' begun in 2005, moved to Weekly Young Jump in 2007.
