Mikio Ito

Ito was born in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, in 1973. He won a judges' special prize at the Tenkaichi Manga Award with 'Rising,' submitted to Weekly Shonen Jump, debuted in 1998 with the Western-themed 'Romantagino,' and worked as an assistant on Nobuhiro Watsuki's 'Rurouni Kenshin.' His Weekly Shonen Jump serials include 'Normandy Secret Club' (2000-2001), 'Granada: Kyukyoku Kagaku Tankentai' (2003) and 'Nazo no Murasame-kun' (2006).
