Mikiya Mochizuki

Mikiya Mochizuki (December 16, 1938 - April 3, 2016) was a Japanese manga artist from Yokohama who debuted in 1960 and rose to fame with 'Secret Agent JA' (1964) and the hit action series 'Wild 7' (1969), which was adapted into a television drama. In the early 1970s he drew serials such as 'Totsugeki Ramen', 'Head! Kiba', 'Japasshu' and 'The Kicker' for Weekly Shonen Jump. Shortly after his death in 2016 he received the special award of the 45th Japan Cartoonists Association Awards.
