Motoka Murakami

Motoka Murakami (born June 3, 1951, in Setagaya, Tokyo) is a Japanese manga artist who debuted in 1972 with 'Moete Hashire' in Weekly Shonen Jump. He later moved to Shogakukan magazines, where his kendo manga 'Musashi no Ken' (1981) became a major hit and won the 29th Shogakukan Manga Award. His 15-year serial 'Ryu -RON-' (from 1991) also received the Shogakukan Manga Award and stands among his representative works.
