Saburo Ishikawa
Saburo Ishikawa (born January 18, 1953, in Iwanai, Hokkaido) is a Japanese manga artist. He debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1974 with 'Tachiyomi Genkin,' which received an honorable mention in the 7th Tezuka Award, and went on to serialize 'Tomodachi Gakuen' (1974) and 'Keisatsuken Monogatari' (1978-1979) in the magazine. His later works, including 'Kita no Mogura' and 'Aoki Honoo,' won him a wide readership with a style described as robust yet warm.
