Tetsuya Saruwatari
Japanese manga artist born June 25, 1958, in Omuta, Fukuoka Prefecture. He earned a runner-up prize in the 21st Tezuka Award in 1981 for 'Shot!', worked as an assistant to Shinji Hiramatsu and Hiroshi Motomiya, and made his serial debut with Umi no Senshi in Weekly Shonen Jump. Known for fight-driven action manga, his best-known works are Riki-Oh and Koukou Tekkenden Tough.
