Tomoo Kimura
Manga artist from Akita City; the real name 木村知生 was used for early credits, while later works are credited as 木村知夫 (same reading). Kimura worked in the gekiga section of Fujio Productions as an assistant to Keiji Yoshitani, and "Kaguya-hime Sensō" received an honorable mention at the 11th Tezuka Award in 1976. Kimura is best known for Let's Dachikō (story by Baku Tsumiki), serialized in Weekly Shōnen Champion from 1985 to 1988.
