Toshi Noma

Japanese manga artist and animator born in Osaka Prefecture in 1953. A student of Shinji Nagashima, he worked for Weekly Shonen Jump and Garo, earned several honors in the Tezuka Award during the 1970s, and serialized Kaiki! Manatsu no Yawa in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1977. He later joined Tezuka Productions, serving as director and animation director on productions such as Astro Boy and Hi no Tori.
