Tsutomu Hiramatsu

Japanese manga artist born in 1959 in Shiga Prefecture. He won an honorable mention in the Tezuka Award at 19 and a runner-up prize at 21 with 'Idaten Hawk'; his first serialization was Mad Dog, written by Buronson. In Weekly Shonen Jump he published Tobu Kyoshitsu (1985), remembered for tackling nuclear war and radiation, and Hustle Kenpo Tsuyoshi (1986); a complete edition of Tobu Kyoshitsu with a newly drawn second part was released in 2020.
