Yukio Shinohara
Yukio Shinohara is one of the manga pen names of Yukio Yamashita (born May 30, 1950), a manga artist, designer and editor. After working as an assistant to Osamu Tezuka at Tezuka Productions, he went independent in 1970 and debuted in Weekly Shōnen Jump with Akuma no Mizu, a social-issue story about itai-itai disease. He later worked as a designer and around 1980 founded the editorial production company Work House, which edited titles such as Keibunsha's encyclopedia series before closing down by 2000.
