Yumi Hotta
Yumi Hotta (born October 15, 1957, in Okazaki, Aichi Prefecture) is a Japanese manga artist and story writer; 'Yumi Hotta' also serves as a joint pen name shared with her husband Kiyonari Hotta. Her best-known work is Hikaru no Go (art by Takeshi Obata), her first work as a story writer, which won the 45th Shogakukan Manga Award in 2000 and the Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize New Artist Award in 2003. She also wrote the speed-skating manga Yuto (art by Kei Kono), serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2005.
