An animal-centred adventure series in which two dogs fight each other to the death over a man driven half-mad as he wanders frozen Siberia, longing to return to Japan. Underlying the story is the idea that dogs instinctively crave to be kept by and serve humans — a 'dog blood' concept the author carried into his next series, Yoake no Tategami. Ending after a ten-week run, the series was never collected in book form.
