Takeshi Masutani
Born in Osaka in 1948 and a graduate of Kyoto City University of Arts. He is reported to have debuted with the one-shot 'Cyborg City', published in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1969, during the magazine's earliest years. In the late 1970s he serialized 'Yon-chome no Kaijin-kun' (1976-1977) and 'Kaitei Poseidon' (1978) there, both of which were collected in book form.
