Yoshihiro Kuroiwa

Yoshihiro Kuroiwa (1962-2018) was a Japanese manga artist from Nagano Prefecture. While working as an assistant to Masakazu Katsura, he received an honorable mention at the 26th Tezuka Award in 1983 and debuted in Weekly Shonen Jump, where he serialized Sasuke Ninden (1986), Machinryu Varion (1987), Hengen Sennin Asuka (1988), and Fushigi Hunter (1991); his best-known work, Kishin Doji Zenki, ran in Monthly Shonen Jump. He died of a heart attack in 2018 at the age of 55.
